Dan: Signicial’s Courses is a progressive4-Key skill analyzing system. Everything in this project from mapping & balancing to background & logo design is all made by myself. The project will lead you all the way through journey of 4K, with 15 main stages with 60 individual maps and a few add-on contents.
This is a personal project that took me over 5 years to finish.
After such a long time, the project is finally approaching its ending. I’ve also made the new difficulty scaling system while working on the project, which is more accurate, organized and consistent as compared to the well-known Reform Dan.
As you can clearly tell, it was made for osu!mania.
But now I’ve decided to bring it onto Etterna!
However, the Clear Condition for Etterna has not been determined yet, that’ll be for the community to discuss.
And just for comparisons & references, please look at the clear condition of osu!mania:
Basic Clear Condition (For osu! score v1)
There are 4 types of CLEAR on my Dan Courses :
HP Clear - HP Pass the map.
Clear (Mainly focus on this one) - You must acquire accuracy of 96.00% or above.
Overclear - You must acquire accuracy of 97.00% or above.
Master - You must acquire a specific accuracy for different Packs. (Listed down below)
Beginner Pack : 99.80% or above.
Advanced Pack : 99.40% or above.
Expert Pack : 99.00% or above.
Final Packs : 98.00% or above.
(Addon content like Alternative Stages, Special Stages and Extra Stages / Stage 16~18 are excluded from this map pack.)
All 60 maps (Jack, Tech, Speed, Stamina, 15 maps for each type) and 15 stages are brought here in this forum post:
Since you mentioned this is a map pack, please double-check all your files’ offsets, sync, BPM, etc., and ensure they are all properly edited. Since you likely converted them from another game, remember that conversions are never 100% perfect and may require you to edit them to function correctly.
(This is an automated post. If you already know this or you didn’t actually do any conversions, then you can ignore this comment.)
Congratulations on the pack release!

Hi, I apologize for not explaning enough on the 4th map type.
4th map is typically being called as “Stamina”.
The concept is inherited from a Dan Project called “Reform Dan”. (Which is known for having poor balance on early stages)
Typically, “Stamina" Type of map is just presented as Jumpstream or Handstream.
However, as I reuse the concept, I decided to make something more than that.
Here in my project, Stamina map is a final test to see if you have the endurance to hold through a map after the 3 types from earlier.
It’s still mainly jumpstream and handstream, but now they are hybrid.
In other words, you can see jack, tech and even speed on 4th map of some stages rather than just regular jumpstream and handstream.
Conclusion:
Stamina = Anything that drains your stamina are all put in a map. (Mainly Jumpstream & Handstream)
4th map type is for a comprehensive test.
(Edit: If you or anyone else have any more question to ask me about this project / pack, just leave a comment and let me know, I’ll be answering them. I’d always like to hear out from the community)
To clarify.. stamina is not a pattern, just a type of file. Jumpstream and Handstream are often used in such context because the most common configurations of those don’t really require much else. You can make anything into stamina though, frankly patterns like dense chordjacks are very much just pure stamina. Streams can be also made into a stamina file, or any mix of patterns on that note.
DDMythical is a dumb fuck and he puts 3 stamina files into a dan and then puts a 4th stage named stamina to make it 4 stamina files. Don’t be like DDMythical, and don’t use his (reform) system, the jack/tech/speed/stamina division is flawed by design.
Chordjacks already test your stamina, then you have 2 more maps in a row, that’s a whole marathon and they do for a comprehensive test on their own. To reiterate, EVERYTHING drains your stamina, what makes a file predominantly focused on testing it is just the lenght of sections and breaks (or lack thereof).
Chordjacks are purely physical, so they on their own make for a stamina test. If it’s your aim to also bundle a proficiency in technique into it (like a test of ability to wristjack..?) you have the literally technical slot for that. When you shift the balance of the marathon towards stamina files, that skill is then the first point of failure. You’re not making a balanced dan, just another stamina dan.
I made it a Dan Course only to redo DDM’s poorly balanced one in the same concept.
I personally don’t hate the idea so I that’s why I decided to reuse.
Once again, all 60 maps from the pack I released are mapped individually by me.
I understand that people are getting tired and sick of “Dan” as a term and just genuinely hate this form of it, but let me be honest.
To be fair, I just want my maps to be enjoyed at this point.
If you people in the community hate Dan as a term that much (or just simply hate how I use this term), then consider Dan Course from my pack as addon contents.
Just enjoy the 60 maps that I mapped and stop thinking about the word “Dan” and ignore the concept.
My goal is just to get players to have another 60 original maps from a mapper. (While they can still test out skills)
Etterna has listed the map type for you internally, anyways.
Don’t forget to add the Step Artis information (usually the charter name), and it would be great if you could include the CD Title (Charter pfp, logo, icon, or something similar) along with a banner for each chart. If you don’t feel like creating custom banners, you can use the background image as the banner.
I looked at a few charts, and almost all of them have a slight offset error. It would be great if you could double-check all the charts
Frankly when I saw “Dan” and “Osu” in the same post, I was just glad everything was .sm, not hundreds of milliseconds off sync, and seemingly not walls of 192nds lol. Chart GFX is a decent point though, especially a CDtitle, as that is very important in Etterna for identifying who made things at a glance. I really do recommend making something which represents your name Signicial, as you’ve likely seen with most every other chart from the Etterna community.
also when i stop to be active on osu saw a few of your stuff there and played like 1 or 2 maps, i’ll give a try to this stuff you’re sharing here just for curiosity.
Thanks to every suggestion the community is giving to me. I’ve seen all of them.
I’ll soon apply those what I can do whenever I have the time to do it.
