How to play multiplayer?
At the moment, the official multiplayer server is not compatible with the new website and cannot be logged into. An update will be posted, and this thread will be updated once the official server is ready to accept your website credentials.
In the meantime, you can use third-party multiplayer servers to play with your friends. You’ll need to change the multiplayer address in your game settings to connect to them.
The most known third party multiplayer server is hosted by Poco, and can be found at multi.notetternaonline.com. This server is independent from EtternaOnline and you should NOT enter your website credentials into it!
How to change multiplayer address
- On the main screen, go to options.
- Select Network Options.
- Click Disconnect.
You will be taken back to the options menu or the main menu, where you can start connecting to a different address.
- On the main menu, Select Multiplayer.
- Click on Connect.
- Change the multiplayer address to
multi.notetternaonline.com. - If the connection is successful, you will be redirected to the Select Profile menu and/or prompted to enter your multiplayer credentials.
How to play on multi.notetternaonline.com
Choose any username and password of your choice (do not use your EO account details on this server).
When you enter a username + password for the first time, it automatically creates an account on that server. These will be the credentials when you log into that server again.
