[Banner TBD]
Morning/afternoon/evening/night, etternians.
What is this even about?
This is a pack designated for beginners to be introduced to, and train “hard patterns” for overall skill improvement. Beginners here is like the ones with around 10-17 MSD that struggles to hit those “hard patterns”.
I originally planned to release this on my own without other’s charts due to me being relatively new in the charting scene, however, as I don’t really have that much of fitting songs in mind, I decided to open submission for this pack to populate the pack more.
How will the pack look like?
It’s divided to some stages, numbered, with every stage having it’s own “boss chart”.
The last stage, called FINAL stage, will be the last test that also has it’s own “boss chart”.
What’s the deadline?
None.
More specifically, when the pack is almost ready to be released.
You will be notified when the submission is about to close.
Then what are the guidelines?
- Submitted songs must be real songs, produced by human. Songs generated by AI are not allowed.
- The quality of the song should be, for reference, at least 128kbps with MP3 format.
- The chart(s) must be “““connected””” to the song, as in each note placement should be reasonable. Something that violates this, for example, is dump.
- The chart(s) must focus on at least 1 of the “hard patterns” listed below.
- The chart(s) must be within the range of MSD respective to the “hard patterns” listed below.
- All submissions must include your own CDTitle.
You can also send your CDTitle once and say that all of your submissions use that CDTitle. - Submitted files with multiple difficulties should have the highest MSD as the main chart.
- If you also submit with your own GFX, please reserve a spot within the banner to put a short text formatted like this:
[STAGE] Pattern Type
I will be asking you to edit the GFX to add the correct text after the submission is locked in.
More specific rules:
- For lower range of MSD, DO NOT include Rollds and Lifts, and forcing XMod. You can go wild for higher range of MSD, but be wise.
- The length should not be longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds. below 3 minutes is more likely to be Locked.
Some optional suggestions:
- Submit charts more towards the lower range of MSD, as the higher range is designated to be benchmark charts, hence will have a lower chance to be Locked.
- For files with multiple difficulties, change all of the difficulties aside from the main chart to Edit difficulty.
- For lower range charts, stamina oriented patterns are recommended, and for higher range charts, conventional patterns are recommended.
What about this “Hard Patterns”?
Note that throughout the time, these will change to really make sure that almost every type of patterns beginners need to be used to is here.
In the future, I might also include the recommended 16th BPM to be used for each patterns.
The MSD written here is Overall MSD.
- Any kind of Handstream/Quadstream
- Any kind of Jacks
- Any kind of chord-heavy patterns
- Lower range: 7-11 MSD
- Higher range: 11-15 MSD
- Final range: 15-17 MSD
Ok, I’m interested. How do I submit?
Firstly, I’ll categorize submissions to these:
- Locked: It’s in for the pack, but the author should be able to be contacted.
- Pooled: The file is accepted and has a chance to make it to the final pack.
- Rejected: 2 meaning.
- Hard Reject: The file doesn’t fit the pack at all.
- Soft Reject: The file should have some changes for it to be Pooled.
- Dropped: The file doesn’t make it to the final pack after being Pooled. Files within this category still have a chance to be Locked if the author of a Locked chart can’t be contacted.
There will definitely be a some sort of way to have a persistent information regarding what files are in corresponding category, but for now, I’ll only be updating it from time to time in this thread.
For now, you can submit them by sending me a message via the contacts I listed below that includes the link to the chart, preferably a persistent one.
After, I (and possibly others) will decide if it’s Pooled or Rejected.
Then periodically, I (and possibly others) will go through the current Pooled files and see if there are files that deserves to be instantly Locked.
After a while, if I deemed that the Pooled file count is enough, I will be planning to close the submission soon, and after closing, I (and possibly others) will pick big part of the Pooled files to be Locked. Files that aren’t being Locked after this will unfortunately being Dropped, which I think should be 0 files.
Then Locked files will be finalized, and after all files are finalized, the pack is ready to be released.
I want to help. Is there anything I can do?
Many things. that includes playtesting, making GFX, and helping me judge files.
For now, if you want to, contact me from ways I listed below.
How do I contact you?
