Hewo, I’m nonyu, and submissions are open for Goober 'n Friends 2 and Jibberjacks!!!

Goober 'n Friends 2 will be a variety-focused pack organized by me. Just like Goober 'n Friends 1, the purpose is for new charters, including me, wanting to put our fun and interesting files to a pack. Everyone is welcome, new or experienced!

Jibberjacks will be jackspeed-focused pack co-hosted by me and Skwid, a spiritual successor to Skwid Game.

Submission Guidelines

Most music is acceptable. However no “non-music” audio clips or volume warning/ear-piercing songs.
The max MSD will be 27
Multiple difficulties are allowed, however all of them must follow the max MSD rule.
Any type of charting style is accepted EXCEPT DENSE CHORDJACKS/16TH PAD STREAMS/JUMPTRILLS
No files that are already ranked.
Song length must be between 1:00 to 6:59. Mega-collab song, pack opening, and pack ending will be the exception to this rule, if any of these exist
No songs that are already in Goober 'n Friends 1.
Recharts are okay, as long as the original chart in question is not in a similar style.
Make sure your chart is synced and snapped properly.
If you are providing GFX, make sure the banner has visible title text. If no GFX, I will make it for you. You may provide images. (includes your cdtitle)
Only one charter per song. Collabs are allowed. If a collab chart is submitted, the one who submitted the file will take up one of their slots.

File Limit

File Limit: 60 (1 slot reserved for mega-collab, if it exists)
File Limit per Charter: 5

Notes

You are allowed to pull/swap your own file from the pack, until submissions are closed.
Both File Limits are subject to change.
You may request for a WIP slot. (Check the Spreadsheet)

Jibberjacks

Submission Guidelines

This is a jackspeed-focused pack. Think longjacks, minijacks, vibro, fast two-hand trills, gluts, etc. with a focus on sparser layering.
This is explicitly NOT a chordjack pack. Chords/jumps are not outright banned or even discouraged, but the primary difficulty of the file should not come from sheer density. Sensationer (Golgo13)-style files are great, but please shy away from submitting something that the average Osu player would enjoy.
Jack dumps are completely acceptable. Your song choice doesn’t necessarily have to “justify” jacks.
Like Goober 'n Friends 2, no “non-music” audio clips or volume warning/ear-piercing songs.
Songs should be at least one minute long. No hard upper limit, but be reasonable.
No MSD range
No files that are already ranked.
Because the level of interest this pack is uncertain, I’m not planning on any sort of file limits, either for the total pack or per charter. This is subject to change as submissions start coming in.

Notes

I will be judging each submission and it’s possible to have something denied based on charting alone, but I’m not going to be very strict.
I might give suggestions and whatnot, but they’re up to the charter to implement if they want and if something is accepted, the assumption is that it’s cool as-is.

If you have an account here, you can send a private message/chat DM to me with a download link to your file, as I check this forum almost everyday.
My DMs are open on discord. My username is nonyu
Email [email protected]. Subject should indicate that you are submitting to Goober 'n Friends 2/Jibberjacks.

There is also a server with a submissions channel and pack updates (WIP zips, scores/feedback thread), but it is primarily a hang-out place. You can contact me if you really wish to join.

I’ll keep myself as open minded as I can. If I need to ask a question about a certain pattern, or if I feel like there’s something to be worked on, I will give detailed feedback for it. I’ll try my best to get your file accepted to this pack.
