this is my own til death theme edit, it already includes various quality of life changes such as steffen’s grade count, darkman’s player score tracker, a volume control display, a new screenevaluation layout and more neat things
aaaaaaaaand i broke 4:3 with this new update
oh yeah also the keybinds for the volume thing are:
alt + q to decrease volume
alt + w to decrease volume
it should in theory be retrocompatible between saves so you can just import your til death config (color config and player config) to the theme and viceversa
there’s still lots of things i wanna do to the theme, and im really open to suggestions or things to change, but considering 0.73 isn’t done yet im still holding on to just port the theme as fast as i can to the new beta updates
i wish i could work on more things but im busy with college

I don’t get why would this be considered “passing off someone else’s property as your own”, if some things were mostly inspired, were credited by it and besides using same graphics (even though these aren’t noire’s drawings to begin with)
yes some chunk of the code in the theme are from other people (noire included) but most, if not all of those people are ok with it being included
i do get your point of thinking im passing it as mine’s considering that the name isn’t really well thought to begin with, and besides people were requesting me to share it in the first place, which is why i made the post and made the repo a year ago to begin with, but i don’t think it’s worth making a whole “drama” for it, considering that i’ve notified noire about it well over a year by now, and he really didn’t care until now
yes i should have asked for permission for some of noire’s code, and it would’ve have been better if he told me “hey please don’t share this piece of code” or something, but acting as if i “stole spxnoire’s theme” is stupid
also requesting to delete the repo would kinda be useless considering that i’ve seen a good portion of players using it so… i don’t know what would noire want about that
You should have asked for permission for some of noire’s code. I think you should ask first, but I don’t think you did. Isn’t that the problem? You already know. It doesn’t matter who owns it.
The problem is you didn’t keep the basics.
Personally, it would have been better not to make the drama public. Besides, there already was a simple solution to this problem such as actual credits, and it’s just unnecessary at that to make drama.
honestly yeah, i would have prefered if noire reached out to me in private to solve the issue in the first place instead of doing this, im still not sure what does he want to remove/change exactly, but the most likely scenario would be me changing the name (for the best either way), and do a new repo with none of his code/design or whatever
oh yeah and also he already is in the credits of the repo (since day one iirc)
You’re the one who released the theme using someone else’s base without permission. Why is it their responsibility to reach out to you in private, and not yours to have reached out to them in the first place before making it public.
Problem with that is that making issues like that public can lead to drama and backlash. While there is points in time where it is warranted, it just isn’t really justified right now unless there’s something more to the issue.
