Invalid scores
When browsing a profile or a chart, you may notice that some scores are highlighted in red. These indicate invalid scores.
A score may be automatically marked as invalid by the website for several reasons, including (but not limited to):
- The score is below 83% (below the Grade A threshold)
- The score is on a chart with fewer than 200 notes
- The score is a failed pass
- The score has missing or invalid replay data
- The score was achieved using modifiers that alter chart patterns (such as NoMines)
- Use of Chord Cohesion (a StepMania mechanic that registers jumps, hands, quads, etc. as a single note/judgment)
- The score has been manually marked as invalid by the user or site staff
If your score is invalidated for any of the reasons above (except manual invalidation), then there’s nothing you can do. However, don’t let that discourage you. Keep playing and aim for new, improved scores.
