I was just starting a session and was warming up and saw that my timing was awful. I kept getting more than 9 and 10ms per note hit which is incredibly unusual.
I tried changing the resolution from 1920 X 1080 to 1280 X 720 and changing the texture resolution to 512 and also tried my older keyboard but nothing at all.
There are a number of reasons why your offset could’ve changed, and a number of ways you may want to approach fixing it. Is there anything you’ve done recently which might’ve affected it, such as entering or leaving exclusive full screen, enabling/disabling VSync, or some major software updates?
Regardless, I’d recommend reading the offset tutorial from Dash and starting with calibrating your sync, as I’m under the assumption this isn’t a visual issue given your prior experience:
I did try moving some packs out of the directory (I have like 26 GB worth of packs and I removed half of it) which did have a positive effect. After that I installed itgmania and loaded the same packs and faced the exact same issue.
So it is highly likely that my laptop is the limiting thing and not the game.
