what did i miss? all i know is website got revamped, my account before the revamp got deleted and had to make a new one, and apparently i etternal slumbered so long i missed 2 versions

Unrelated, but in How to play multiplayer? when you said to not use your EO credentials, I did not read this before entering in my EO credentials, what do i do?
the credentials for the multiplayer servers listed there are stored on my own server separate from eo, so there’s not really a big concern. anyone can host a multiplayer server, so if you are connecting to it, there is no telling exactly what they are doing with the credentials you type in. its up to you to trust them with whatever you type
If we begin from 2023, there weren’t any notable updates to the game up until the end of 2024 where the cilent has been laregly modified to be compatible with the new EtternaOnline website (the one you’re using right now) and with more QoL updates.
The biggest changes were around the website. Long story short around mid 2024 we’ve slowly begun transitioning to a new website with a new database and everything. As a result accounts from the old website did not migrate to this one. The transition has been rocky since we had to suddenly shut down the previous website due to it reaching out of space, and the 0.74 client not being ready for release yet.
Fast forward to today, both 0.74 and the website are released. And this is pretty much the most major things that happened during that time.

EtternaOnline
The primary site for the game, etternaonline.com, has been rewritten and is once again open to the public. For the past several months it has been partially public with an invite code system that required joining the Discord. It has a new pack tagging system which we take advantage of ingame to replace and supplement the old pack bundle system. Pack tags are managed by site staff. The site also has a new search API that will soon allow for online song search from ingame among other things.
All of your scores and accounts on the old EtternaOnline are gone, but the data is backed up somewhere. We will be working on a way to retrieve that eventually. It will be in the form of a system that generates a usable Etterna.xml for you.
Where is 0.73?
This update is 0.73 except for a tiny handful of things. 0.73 was released privately to site testers… and then a few thousand people got their hands on it. We decided to release it as 0.74 to prevent issues with update confusion and other internal issues.
So, what I’m getting from this is that whoever’s server I connect to can see the credentials I input to the game? If so, then are my credentials that are stored in the multi.etternaonline.com server not a big risk?
at this moment, i run that server and its stored in a database as a standard one way hash and im the only person with access to it. very normal conditions
